Descrizione
Comprende prevalentemente specie con mwfwfusti mwgarampicanti che si avvolgono a spira attorno ai tronchi e ai rami degli alberi, ma anche alcune specie a crescita mwgqarbustiva.cite-ref-lahaye2005-2-0[2]
Distribuzione e habitat
È il genere con l'mwlqareale più esteso della sottofamiglia mwlgSecamonoideae. È presente in mwlwMadagascar, ove si concentra la maggiore mwmabiodiversità, e in numerose altre isole dell'mwmqoceano Indiano (mwmgComore, mwmwMauritius, mwnaLa Réunion, mwnqRodrigues, mwngSeychelles, mwnwSocotra, mwoaZanzibar e mwoqPemba). Nell'mwogAfrica continentale il suo areale si estende dalla mwowProvincia del Capo sino al mwpaSenegal, alla mwpqRepubblica Centrafricana e alla mwpgSomalia.
